The first authentik community hackathon ran online from July 26 through July 30, 2023. Registration and event activities are closed; this page preserves a summary of the event.

About the event

Community members worked on authentik code, documentation, and other project improvements. Moderators supported participants across US and European hours, and participants coordinated work through GitHub and Discord.

The event included a $5,000 prize pool, authentik merchandise, and community recognition.

Schedule

  • Wednesday, July 26: Kickoff, topic selection, team formation, and development-environment setup.
  • Thursday, July 27: First hack day and participant check-in.
  • Friday, July 28: Second hack day and participant check-in.
  • Saturday, July 29: Project wrap-up and initial demonstrations.
  • Sunday, July 30: Final demonstrations, voting, and awards.

Event workspace

Participants developed their contributions in the authentik GitHub repository and coordinated in the community Discord server. The event used GitHub issues to propose projects and indicate community interest.

Prize distributions were subject to applicable local, state, national, and international laws.
